Why am I being charged sales tax for my LogMeIn product?
Products and services sold by LogMeIn USA, Inc. to purchasers in the United States may be subject to state and local sales tax. The amount of tax charged by LogMeIn USA depends on many factors including, but not limited to, the type of product or service purchased and the purchaser’s address. VAT/GST rates may vary depending on the destination country and product type. The sale of digital products and services may be taxable in the country associated with the location of the customer. VAT/GST is charged in accordance with local legislation in each country. To comply with local tax laws, LogMeIn will apply the tax rate associated with the purchaser’s location to the invoice, if the items purchased are deemed to be taxable at that time.
