Task 3.2: Import your data

If you had an older version of the package, you should have your Rescue Session and Rescue Logs data backed up. Here are the steps how import them.

  1. Click Setup at the top of the page in Salesforce.
  2. In the QuickFind box, navigate to Integrations > Data Import Wizard.
  3. Click Launch Wizard.
  4. Click Custom objects and select Rescue Sessions.
  5. Click Add new and update existing records, configure it as below and upload the .csv file corresponding to the Rescue Session records on Choose File.

  6. Click Next and map the fields by clicking on Map. Some of the fields are automatically mapped.
    Important: Map all the fields containing the rescuebygoto_prefix.

    Note: You should see something like this:
  7. Click Next and Start Import.
  8. In the QuickFind box, navigate to Integrations > Data Import Wizard
  9. Click Launch Wizard.
  10. On the Wizard click Custom objects and select Rescue Logs.
  11. Click on Add new and update existing records, configure it as below and upload the .csv file corresponding to the Rescue Log records on Choose File.

  12. Click Next and map the fields by clicking on Map. Some of the fields are automatically mapped.
    Important: Map all the fields containing the rescuebygoto_prefix except for CaseOwner and OwnerID.

  13. Click Next and Start Import.
