Standard Instant Chat via Channel Form

    Articles related to customization are written for a technical audience who have experience in web development. Knowledge of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript are required.

    Important: You must integrate a channel form into your site using the code for "Custom Live Support Forms" found in the Administration Center on the Channels tab.

    With an integrated channel form, the customer can click a link to start a chat session with a technician.

    To enable the customer to see the standard Instant Chat interface in his default browser, set the Customer Applet flag to Use Instant Chat in the Administration Center on the Settings tab. Otherwise, the Customer Applet is executed.
