I can't type when accessing macOS Catalina. What can I do?
When accessing a mac running macOS Catalina, the host does not accept keyboard input.
Cause
Due to Apple's security features, keyboard input is blocked.
Resolution
- In the top-right corner, click .
- Select Security and Privacy.
- Select Accessibility.
- In the bottom-left corner, click the lock icon. An Authentication dialog box appears.
- Log in with an Administrator account.
- De-select LMIGuiAgent.
- Select LMIGUIAgent.
Result: Keyboard input is now possible on your Mac.
