How to Import Predefined Replies and URLs

This article gives guidance to Rescue technicians.

An administrator or technician can create a set of standard replies and export them to XML. Follow this procedure to import the replies XML file into your own Technician Console.

Before you begin:

An administrator or other technician must first create and export an xml file containing the predefined replies and URLs.

  1. From the Tools menu, select Manage Predefined Replies.

    Result: The Manage Predefined Replies tab is displayed in the Technician Console workspace.

  2. On the Manage Predefined Replies tab, click the Import/Export tab.
  3. Click Import.

    Result: The Open dialog box is displayed.

  4. Locate the xml file and click Open.

    Result: The replies are added to your list of predefined replies.

Results: You can send any of the imported predefined replies via the Chat panel.
