How to Customize the Custom Fields of the Instant Chat-enabled Channel Form
The channel form offers five custom fields that your customers can fill in. To hide a custom field, mark it in the HTML code as comment as described below:
- In the Administration Center, go to the Channels tab.
- Copy the sample code from the Custom Live Support Forms with self-hosted Instant Chat text box.
- To hide a custom field, mark it in the HTML code as comment:
<!-- <tr><td>Custom Field 5: </td><td><input type="text" name="comment5" maxlength= "64" /></td></tr> -->
- Paste the modified code sample into the HTML code of your website.
Note: If you want to rename the field, overwrite Custom Field X with the new label.
