How do I uninstall the browser based LogMeIn Rescue Technician Console so that I can reinstall it?
If you are having trouble with your browser based LogMeIn Rescue Tech Console, a reinstallation can resolve most issues.
To remove the LogMeIn Rescue Technician Console, please follow these instructions:
Internet Explorer 7
- Click Tools.
- Select Internet Options.
- Choose the Programs tab.
- Click Manage Add-ons.
- Switch the drop down to Downloaded ActiveX Controls.
- Find the LogMeIn Rescue technician console and select Delete.
Internet Explorer 8
- Click Tools.
- Select Manage Add-Ons.
- From the "Show" drop-down, select Downloaded Controls.
- Click on LogMeIn Rescue Technician Console so it is selected in the list.
- Click More Information in the bottom left of the window.
- Click Remove in the bottom left.
Firefox
- Go to Tools.
- Choose Add-ons.
- Select the Extensions tab.
- Uninstall the LogMeIn Rescue Technician Console.
Note: The next time you log into your LogMeIn Rescue account, you will be prompted to install the Technician Console again. As an alternative, you may also install the Technician Console with our MSI installer which can be downloaded here: https://secure.logmeinrescue.com/common/msi.aspx?id=newest_tc
