Sharing Documents for Co-browsing

During a shared browsing session, both the agent and the customer can upload a document from their device for co-browsing it with the remote participant. The shared document can be scrolled and annotated just like a co-browsed website. Rotating and zooming tools are also available.

Note: The availability of this feature depends on a permission granted by a Rescue Live Guide Administrator.
Restriction: Only PDF and image files can be uploaded. The file size limit is 25 MB.
Important: Uploaded documents are not stored by GoTo. All uploaded documents are deleted from GoTo servers at the end of the co-browse session.
  1. During an active co-browse session, click the Document Share button on the session toolbar.

    Result: The Share a file screen is displayed.

  2. Click Browse Files.

    Result: The Upload a file screen is displayed.

  3. Click Browse Files.

    Result: Your computer's default file browser is opened.

  4. Select the document you want to share.
  5. On the Upload a file screen, click Upload.

    Result: The document is opened in a new shared browsing tab allowing participants to use the following tools.

    • The agent can use the Annotation tools.
    • Participants can rotate the document.
    • Participants can zoom in/out.
    • Participants can download the shared document.

  6. To stop sharing the document, simply close the shared browsing tab displaying it.
